Happy New Year...Tanith is 18 Months Old Today

Tanith is 18 months old today and progressing well. She continues to amaze us and I often catch myself staring at her in awe.

Monthly Update:  She has more teeth to report and is happy to show them to you if you ask. Her independent personality is showing more and more these days. She now wants to feed herself all the time, but refuses to wear a bib...need I say more.  She is doing a pretty good at this and less food is hitting the floor now (but still making sure not to disappoint the dogs waiting for her to share...at least I do not need to clean up the mess on the floor). She is very determined and focused on what she wants to do, but at the same time has very little patience and is not happy when she cannot do something right away. She likes watching us clean and daddy build things...even helps out, especially when daddy was puting her new kitchen together...she got into that action.  Every night when she goes to bed and even when she wakes up, she plays...it is the cutiest thing. We need to get a baby cam in there so we can see it in action, but it sounds like she is playing with her stuffed animals.  She will do this for thirty minutes to about an hour before she falls asleep.  So no complaintes on her sleep patterns or eating habits and we will ride this wave as long as it last. Hide-in-seek is a new activity, welll at least a version of it. She likes to be chased and hides behind something. All we have to say is "I'm going to get you" and she giggles and runs/hides. Something we find interesting and at the same time wonder why, but she blinks her eyes when you tell her to smile for a picture or when she sees a camera...again not sure where that comes from but it is funny. The best thing now is that she gives random hugs and kisses...love this!
