July 1 - Tanith turned 6 years old today...cannot top that news! Mommy took the day off from work and surprised Tanith on her birthday. We have a party planned with a few of her friends in a few weeks, so now its just family quality time. I say it every year, but I cannot believe five years has already passed.
July 12 our Gotcha Day (same day has her party) is coming up and I am so happy to be called mommy, especially by Tanith, who is an amazing little girl...feeling so blessed and happy.
Unfortunately she was a little sick on her birthday, so the day at Disney did not happen, but by the end of the day she started to feel a little better.
July 3 - spent the day with Jeanette and her son Anthony at the Adventure Playground in Huntington Beach (aka the mud park). They had so much fun rafting, building a fort and Tanith's favorite part, going down the mud slide. The laughter that came out of her when she hit the water was priceless...it was pure joy and was contagious. We ended the morning/afternoon with lunch at a restaurant in the park.
Ran into her friend Jordan from school and was telling him all about how she got soaked on the slide :) Proud mommy moment is when Jordan saw her and said, "lets go play", Tanith responded nicely that she was here with Anthony...so Jordan joined them with his sister. I was happy she did not take off and just play with Jordan.
I think Tanith went down the mud slide at least ten times and was disappointed when they closed it.

Picture includes Kim and Jeanette who I used to work with and even though we do not work together we have remained friends and I hope one day Tanith has the opportunity to have positive and supportive friends in her life.
July 3 Pre 4th activities :)
July 4 - someone is getting ready for the noise!
Disney Birthday Make-up (sick on her birthday and did not make it all the way into the park). Went on July 5 and turned out to be a great day to go...only 50% full and we were able to enjoy a lot of rides.
July 9 - Tanith's first Summer Camp Field Trip to Knott's Soak City. After a lot of debate between mom and dad about letting her go to an all day event that involved water, we decided she would have fun and the team at ESP are fantastic...mommy was still nervous...but she came back all in one piece and had a blast.
July 10 - Ready for her last swim lesson
July 12 - Gotcha Day / Birthday Party. Today we celebrate the day five years ago that we held Tanith for the first time and became a family. This day will always resonate with me as the most important day of my life.

Swim, swim, swim on a Rainy day in July with her cousins. The fun was cut short by the thunder and lightening, but they still were able to get some good swim time in anyways.

Tanith stayed with me at work all day and survived :) Unfortunately no dogs were at the office that day.
July 21 - These two are heading off to Costa Rica for a week visit with the family. The week was spent with just good family time together and hanging out at the pool.
