Oct 1: October and Fall is here, but it still in the 90’s…looking forward to cooler weather! School has been going so far. Tanith has maintained a 4.0 (first time getting actual grades) and continues to love school. Has made a lot of new friends this year and has mastered moving from one class to the next. This month we will volunteer a few pet adoption activities, which will go towards her 10 hours of volunteering requirement for AVID her school elective. This also was the year we have allowed her to have a phone! With that being said…the phone got confiscated because she had it out in between classes…rule breaker…do not think that will happen again. Oh and also last month she got her first F on an assignment…in PE…oh my goodness because she turned in a form after class. She is learning that there are no exceptions and how important it is to be organized and know her assignments. Lucky the teacher replaced it with an A…it was turned in on the due date, just a technicality.
A picture from the crazy storm on Oct 5. Thunder, lightning and rain for what seemed like hours. The whole sky was electric. First time I have experienced anything like that here. Beautiful and a bit scary at the same time.
Happy Halloween 🎃 volunteering during the day for the Haute Howloween Parade supporting the Cat Cove Rescue and then Trick-o-Treat with cousins. Fun day!
