We decided to grow our family through adoption...this is our journey. "An ancient Chinese belief is that there is an invisible red thread connecting those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but never break."

Jianxin "Sisters" Halloween Party and Trick-or-Treat pics
What a nice Halloween Party with some of Tanith's crib "sisters". Maddie, Erin, Olithia and Tanith were all present and wearing their costumes. We even got to say hi to Ben, Carmen and Lucia via Skype all the way from Barcelona. Unfortunately, Meghan and family could not attend. Michelle did a great job hosting, decorating and making some tasty sweet snacks for the girls. The food and company were all wonderful. Happy Halloween!

Halloween Project #2
Oh what fun we had carving our first pumpkin as a family. Last year Tanith had fun drawing on her pumpkin and this year we stepped it up and did the carving. It was so much fun to see how excited she got when we told her that we were going to carve her pumpkin...even though she had no idea what we were about to do. Daddy handled all the knife duties and Tanith and I worked on cleaning out the inside. At first she was not sure about the feeling and getting messy, but that only lasted a second and then she dug right in and had a blast pulling out all the pumpkin seeds and stuff.

Halloween Project #1
Daddy opened up a 3-D Halloween Haunted House to put together this evening. 91 pieces of foam is all it took to accomplish the task. I think by the end of it...we either had a few missing pieces and some just left over. Tanith had fun helping daddy with prepping all the little pieces.
The next big adventure will be
carving the pumpkin.
Stay tuned!

Pumpkin Patch
Today we went to the pumpkin patch with the family. The girls had much more fun this year now that they are older. Tanith was drawn to the animals at the petting zoo area and was really excited to ride the pony again this year. They also went on the marry-go-round and bounced around in the pumpkin shaped jump house. What truly amazed us was how fearless Tanith was climbing up the ladder that kept on going and without hesitation went down the big slide...she even went back for seconds. It was so much fun seeing the girls running around, dancing to the music and just having a really good time together.
The night ended with the girls picking out their pumpkins and then a nice family dinner.
