Today Tanith is 2 years and 4 months old.
It still amazes us how much she has developed since last year. It sometimes feels like someone has their finger on the fast forward button and all we want is to do is slow down and enjoy all the special moments. I guess that is why I still blog. I want to capture everything so that Tanith and us will have a diary to reflect back on. You can say this is our baby book, but I think it is much more...its our life together as a family.
I am actually away from home for work and writing this update from Kansas City. I am not home to give her a hug or kiss, but at least I get to see her every night. Some of the hardest things about being apart is missing out on our nightly routine that I absolutely adore, having dinner together as a family, and I could go on!
Tanith Updates:
Weight: 27 pounds Height: 34 1/2 inches tall
Love it when she calls daddy for dinner. She screams "dadda ready" and when she tells daddy he needs to put his seat belt on when we get into the car and then thanks him. She is talking so much now and wants to know what everything is...she is trying to say "what is that" but it does not sound that way...very different...but mommy understands. She loves her iPod and always wants the iPad (calls them by the correct names). She goes to bed with her iPod and it so adorable to hear her playing games, etc..before she falls asleep...she is having so much fun. Despite the iPod addiction, she also loves books and has an assortment by her bed...which she picks out one for mommy to read at bedtime and then I usually find a few more in bed with her when she wakes up. She wants to climb in and out of her car seat without any assistance. She wants to walk all the time. I actually cannot remember the last time we actually used a stroller...it really has been a very long time. She loves "Kids Club" at the gym and it is hard getting her out of there when its time to go.
A few constants: eating habits still outstanding, her love for animals and babies is precious, continues to loves music, singing, bubbles and drawing. She especially loves Mickey Mouse now and Baby Can Read videos and they are the only show she asks to watch. She is really becoming a good photographer...yes I said it. She really has an eye for it and loves taking pictures. My favorite is when she moves you to be in the frame of the shot or when I am working she will place my hand on the keyboard and then take the picture...she has an image of the picture in her mind that she wants to take. If I move my hand she places it back...it is adorable. After she takes the picture she wants to show you what it looks like. She is very proud of her pics/videos.
New update...on Nov1 Tanith said Mommy and Daddy for the first time...not mama or dada :)
Here are a few photos over the last few months.
