I really dropped the ball on postings. First COVID-19 and the major protesting and still in July COVID is still disrupting our lives. So here’s a quick update Tanith never went back to school but finished through online classes and we still don’t know what’s gonna happen next year. I’m still working from home Ralph is still extremely busy with work and there’s no vacation time for him because they are shorthanded with officers am so overwhelmed with the rest with all of the rioting and protesting. So this posting can be more just a lot of pictures that I’ve been taking throughout the months not a whole lot obviously because we haven’t been doing a whole lot but just staying at home. more recently now we actually are seeing the family cousins and just keeping connected with them but still not seeing friends. I Tanith has been remarkably doing really well with the situation and doesn’t seem to mind it too much. I have a feeling it’s gonna be a long summer though if we still have to stay away from friends and really just stay connected with the family only to make sure that we are all safe and healthy. I Tanith did have a birthday she turned 11 in July on July 1 and we did celebrate at grandmas house with some swimming some Chinese food and cheesecake for celebrating her birthday she got new rollerblades helmet clothes and money. I am typing all this via voice to text so I apologize for all the run-on sentences and probably weird verbiage because of auto correct I hopefully will go back to this and correct it but for now this is just the easiest way for me to update.
We decided to grow our family through adoption...this is our journey. "An ancient Chinese belief is that there is an invisible red thread connecting those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but never break."

March and April 2020
So much has gone on since last month. I am capturing this in your blog, because we as a human race have never experienced anything like this. Yes there has been similar out brakes and health scares over time, but I (your mommy) has never experienced anything like this. When I told this to you, your response was "me either". Yes baby girl you have not and I hope you never have to again. What is happening, is our world is under attack, not by each other or country to country, but everyone is fighting a very aggressive and deadly virus. First identified in China, the Coronavirus or COVID-19 Virus quickly spread globally.
International travel and boarders closed, schools and businesses closed. All gyms, sporting events, concerts and theme parks CLOSED. Even the 2020 Olympics was postponed. Many are now learning how to work from home and homeschool their children at the same time. No more play dates (traditionally speaking > now virtual socialization only) and we are keeping at least six feet distance (called Social Distancing) from each other and only leaving our homes to work (if you can) and buy groceries (if you can find any). Only essential business are able to still be open; such as banks, first responders, hospitals, gas stations, postal/shipping, grocery stores, and fast food (to go food only).
Your school closed on March 16 for two weeks, but then a week later was pushed out to April 17 (but may be longer and the reality is that you may not go back for the rest of the year). People have gone mad and started hording food and toilet paper. Our main goal is to stay healthy and hope that people mind the stay at home orders. We can exercise and take walks, but just keep distance from other people.
So to get through this, one has to find a sense of humor and learn how to live differently. We are living a new normal and not sure if or when this will be over. So here are some pictures, some funny and some about what is going on and then of you. One day your going to be able to tell your kids about how you could not play with your friends or hug your grandparents. How your life at 10 years old changed in a blink of an eye.
First are some pictures of you and your cousins before everything changed. You had such a good time with them. They slept over, played games, watched movies and then visited with your grandparents. A week later, everything changed.
And then live changed!
When this all started, people started buying all the TP, sanitizers, soaps. Since many of us could not find TP anywhere, this photo was joking about conserving what you had. Everyone made songs, videos on Washing Your Hands. Luckily I had enough TP, but will run out soon. Now stores are limiting everything people buy to ONE item only, so that everyone could have a supply on hand. The reason for the hording of TP and everything now is that no one really knows how long this will last and they are scared. We are all scared.

Last picture I have from you in school.
