July Update

July 1 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TANITH, 8 years old today!  We ended our vacation on your birthday and so you got to eat birthday cake for breakfast in the cabin and then home for the afternoon. You are such an amazing little girl and growing up so fast. I cannot wait to see what this year brings and hope that the memories we make will be something you can cherish forever. We love you to the moon and back.

July Shenanigans!

Cooking mommy dinner...noodle soup and it was delicious.

Happy Gotcha or Family Day - July 12...so blessed.

Daddy daughter day at Universal Studios and daddy runs into his best friend from Costa Rica.  Here is a picture with Chris's son and Tanith around 2 years old and now.

50's day at camp
Tanith, Allysa and AJ having fun before they going swimming.
My future gardner...grandma please teach her everything she needs to know because mommy has a black thumb :) LOVE!

Crazy girl, meditating or still according to Tanith, she is huminating.

Lunch with grandma/pa at Ruby's on the pier in Huntington Beach.

What a great way to end the month. Tanith got to visit her daddy at work and insisted on bringing him flowers. This is not a one time occurrence, in fact every time we go shopping, Tanith always wants to buy him flowers. LOVE!

2017 Family Vacation

Another successful family vacation, creating memories, and enjoying spending quality time together. This year, we spent our family vacation in Santa Barbara at the Rancho Oso Camping Resort. Tucked away up in the mountains, but close enough to enjoy many adventures together. We saw lots of horses, cows, and only 1 deer on this trip. The girls had a great time and were sad to leave.

Our first adventure included a long road trip, but worth the drive. Tanith swore she never fell asleep in the car...hum I think differently!

San Simeon, California the home of the elephant seals. This was Tanith's favorite stop on the trip and I had to pull her away from the viewpoint to go onto our next adventure.

Grandma explaining to Tanith that the elephant seals are shedding their skins and also using their flippers to cover their bodies with sand to avoid getting a sun burn.

At first it looks like they are fighting in the water, but they were actually practicing fighting.

After the elephant seals, we drove down into Cambria to walk on the beach and collect rocks before lunch.

Then on to Moro Bay and even got to see some sea otters having a snack.

Another day and more adventures. Had a lovely day walking around in Solvang and ate delicious Aebleskivers. Then walked over to the mission for a few family pictures and then ended the day visiting Emu's and Ostriches.

A day of relaxing at camp and celebrating Grandma/pa's 59th Wedding Anniversary, Daryl's 37th Birthday and Tanith's 8th Birthday.

Visiting Anderson's Pea Soup Restaurant (as I often did when we went on family trips), antique shopping, and then some visits to vineyards.

Of course, more pool time!

Roasted hot peppers (1 out of 20 are really hot) and Tanith did not hesitate to try one. She did not get a very hot one and liked it.

Taking an after dinner walk around the campground to check out the horses.

Until next years adventure!
