San Simeon, California the home of the elephant seals. This was Tanith's favorite stop on the trip and I had to pull her away from the viewpoint to go onto our next adventure.
Grandma explaining to Tanith that the elephant seals are shedding their skins and also using their flippers to cover their bodies with sand to avoid getting a sun burn.
At first it looks like they are fighting in the water, but they were actually practicing fighting.
After the elephant seals, we drove down into Cambria to walk on the beach and collect rocks before lunch.
Then on to Moro Bay and even got to see some sea otters having a snack.
Another day and more adventures. Had a lovely day walking around in Solvang and ate delicious Aebleskivers. Then walked over to the mission for a few family pictures and then ended the day visiting Emu's and Ostriches.
A day of relaxing at camp and celebrating Grandma/pa's 59th Wedding Anniversary, Daryl's 37th Birthday and Tanith's 8th Birthday.
Visiting Anderson's Pea Soup Restaurant (as I often did when we went on family trips), antique shopping, and then some visits to vineyards.
Of course, more pool time!
Roasted hot peppers (1 out of 20 are really hot) and Tanith did not hesitate to try one. She did not get a very hot one and liked it.
Taking an after dinner walk around the campground to check out the horses.
Until next years adventure!
