Its that time again for Tanith's monthly update. As I write this I am spending her 17th month away in Chicago for work, but I get to see her every night online (really not the same) before she goes to bed. I never realized how much Tanith would change in one month's time, but there is always something new to report. Today she is 24 lbs and 30.5 in tall.
Besides more firsts...Thanksgiving, she continues to amaze us. She is climbing up on everything so we have to keep an eye on her. She loves music and dancing. Still loves her daddy's IPhone and pretty much anything electronic. For the last month her favorite song has been "5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed". She is talking/babbling a lot more these days and has even said grandma and grandpa. Thanks to her grandpa she started saying grandpa while talking into a container (any kind) because she was copying her grandpa while they were playing and I find it totally adorable. She no longer needs a bottle to go to sleep at night and the transition was super easy (we actually started last month). She still goes down for her naps and bedtime without any problems. The best part is when she wakes up, she is always joyful and has something for us...a sock, a doll, a blanket...as if she is sharing the gift of happiness with us. Her favorite things to eat are avocados, tofu, fruit, tomatoes, sweet potatoes and cookies (which she makes a funny sound to let us know she wants one...daddy taught her the noise). She also grabs our fingers and points to something that she wants or needs help with, which I find amazing. Finally, we are still waiting for the hair to start growing more, but it does seem to be getting a little thicker. Once her hair really starts coming in, I know I will miss her crazy messy hair look :)
