her...but she does not know it) and cracks up laughing when we come after her. Sometimes she even turns her head away from looking at us...yes she thinks she is hiding :)
She also had her Wellness Checkup a few weeks ago and she came in weighing 22 lbs 11 oz and is 31 inches in length. She received a few more shots and even got her ears pierced...which was very hard for me. I am so glad daddy was there because I could not watch. It took minutes, some pain and a lot of tears, but she looks beautiful. She seldom plays with the earrings and lets us clean and turn them. We did not realize how much work was going to be involved...three months worth of cleaning and turning.

Newest nickname: our little ChinaLatina (pronounced "cheena latina")
We also had her 6 month post adoption meeting last month and everything went well...one more meeting in another 6 months and then we are done with the adoption process. Well sort of, the next step will be the process to Re-Adopt. This is optional, but it will make her life so much easier later in life. It means that she will have a birth certificate issued in the U.S. and will not always need to have every piece of adoption documents translated and notarized when personal information is required as she grows up.
Looking forward to a busy month as it is the Year of the Rabbit. Chinese New Year is on Feb 3rd and we have a lot of activities planned for our little girl this month.
