Day One, we went to the Santa Barbara Mission, Solvang (loved the little Danish town) and then drove to Monterrey where we spent the night.
Day Two, we were up early and took a beautiful drive to San Francisco. San Francisco was extremely cold and driving around the city was an experience for me. We parked down near Fisherman's Wharf and decided to take a bus tour with the first stop being the Golden Gate Bridge. We decided to stay on top of the bus for the ride and really felt how cold it was. It was a beautiful day, no fog and had a great view of the city and Alcatraz from the bridge. After the tour it was time for a late lunch and then we had plans to visit Brian, Doris, Samantha and Sierra, whom we traveled with in China. We have not seen them since China and we had a very nice visit. I wish we lived closer to them because you can just tell that the girls would have been great friends. We settled in to our hotel for the night and headed home via the coast line. We drove through Big Sur, Carmel and Cambria which was so scenic before we headed on the 101 home.
We spent a lot of time in the car driving and Tanith was amazing. She only got a little fussy on the first day, but that only lasted a few minutes. On the way home which was the longest time in the car, never a peep or problem.
