August Update

I cannot believe Summer is almost over and Tanith will be starting 3rd grade on August 31. Looking forward to having as much fun as possible before she goes back to school.

What's new -

Tanith will be starting soccer for the first time this month and is super excited to play. Cannot wait to post pictures of her and hope she enjoys it as much as her daddy and I did when we were younger.

 First soccer practice and Tanith did really well. Looking forward to seeing her develop her soccer skills.

Took the girls to see High School the Musical and Tanith's best friend Jocelyn was in the show and even got to see some of her school friends at the performance. 

 Sleepover at Meghan's house is always fun.

Tanith had the biggest surprise over the Summer, a visit from her Tita. We only had a few days together and Tanith made sure she spent quality time with her.

After soccer practice...out, but as soon as we got home, on went the dress. From soccer to party dress!

 

Someone made me dinner all by herself!

 First scrimmage game and the girls, team name Double Diamonds did real well and got the win in the last two minutes of the game. Then it was off to swim with cousins. With Summer coming to an end and the pool cover removed, it was a very cold swim, but that did not stop these little fishes!

School shopping and Tanith can shop. We had such a wonderful day getting some new clothes, shoes, school supplies and lunch.

 Tuesday and only two more days left of Summer break. Had a fun and full day with Tanith's BFF Jocelyn. We started off with a swim, belated Birthday gift, went to the movies (saw Leap), hung out around the outdoor mall, had dinner (sushi...the girls requested), a little shopping, and then a smoothie to end the day/night. If that was not enough, as soon as we got home the girls were on the phone video chatting.

Final day before school starts. Had a little breakfast out and got in the last official swim of Summer vacation, but with the heat we are having, defiantly not the last swim this year.

Its official, Summer is over and the first day of 3rd grade begins. Tanith is in Mrs. Schammann's class and has a few friends with her. Teacher seems very nice and organized. First day was fun and a success...now I will check back in a few weeks when actually learning takes place.

After school we had eye appointments and Tanith is a little farsighted, so it was recommended she get some glasses for reading and computer work. Pictures to come once the glasses come in.
