Happy 1st Halloween Tanith!

Halloween was a lot of fun this year, especially now that we have Tanith. She wore a traditional witches outfit and looked adorable (I must say). We spent the holiday at her Auntie Sheryl and Uncle Daryl's house so that she could go trick-or-treating with her cousins Monet and Elyse. Grandma and Grandpa where also there to soak in all the excitement. Can't wait to do this all over again next year :)

Pura Vida!

We are now home from our vacation in Costa Rica. When we arrived the family greeted us by wearing shirts with their corresponding Chinese family titles...I loved this. The week was spent visiting all of Tanith's relatives. She is having so much fun playing with her cousins Maria Fernanda and Gloriana.  We stayed most of the trip at Tia Tati and Tio Jose's house with Papi and two nights at Mami's. We were able to visit friends Chis, Ivania and their son Emiliano. Our kids are very close in age and had a lot of fun together. Rafa got to spend some time with his friends and we even found time to relax by the pool. Had a nice visit at cousin Luis's new house where Tanith got to meet the majority of the relatives. Eric and Priscilla's new bar was a lot of fun and the food was great. It was nice to see the girls schools and even got to see Mari perform for Untied Nations Day.  Tanith even got to meet her future cousin (The ultrasound images from Andrea's belly). It is hard to believe the trip is over and we are now home. I know Tanith already misses her cousins and hope that we will be able to visit again soon.

Here are a few pictures I took from our trip.

Jiangxi "Sisters" Together Again

On Sunday, we had the opportunity to bring Tanith together with four of her Jiangxi "sisters". All of our daughters first year of their lives were spent together in an orphanage in China and bringing them together was so amazing.  It was remarkable to see them all together and knowing that they will forever share a special bond with each other. Not sure if they remembered each other, but I would like to think they did and hope that we all stay connected for years to come. I have been communicating with Michelle, Pat and Margot for awhile now and it was nice finally having the opportunity to meet everyone. Thank you so much Michelle for hosting the party and hope we see everyone again soon.

Here are a few pictures of the Jiangxi girls Maddie, Erin, Lucia, Tanith, and Meghan.

My 1st Pumpkin

Today Grandma/Grandpa, Sheryl/Daryl, cousins Monet/Elyse and of course Rafa, myself and Tanith went to the local pumpkin patch. The girls had so much fun and so did all the adults watching them explore. Tanith and her squeaky shoes running all around was just amazed with everything she saw. She especially loved the petting zoo where she hugged, feed and kissed all the animals. Monet had fun in the jump house, Elyse took two steps on her own and the best part of the afternoon for me was seeing Tanith ridding a pony...Rafa told her we would get her one...ha ha ha!  Only missing pictures of the girls with grandma and grandpa who were busy taking pictures and video.  We ended the day with the girls each picking their Halloween pumpkin and then a nice dinner.

15 MonthsToday

We cannot believe that Tanith is now 15 months old. She is getting so big and is moving around the house and dogs without any hesitation. Her favorite things now are feeding the dogs, or actually redistributing their food. It amazes me that the dogs do not seem to mind her playing with their food while they are trying to eat. She loves going to the gym with daddy because they have an awesome play area. As soon as she sees it she takes off and never looks back...PLAY PLAY PLAY is they only thing on her mind. We still are at 4 teeth but can feel the others coming through. She loves going over to the neighbors house to play (oh and they have yummy cookies) and Costco with grandma/grandpa. She also helps us clean the house. She likes to be involved in everything we are doing...even cleaning.  It is cute watching her walk around pretending she is on the phone and it seems that she is always on very important calls...she is all business. She knows what she wants and lets us know it. She even surprised us by climbing into our bed without any assistance and our bed is pretty high off the ground...I think climbing out of the crib is just around the corner. Looking forward to see what's next on the Tanith agenda.
