September Update

How big am I now?
Height: bad mom, need to measure :)
Weight: 42

Time flies when you our on vacation from school. Tanith had a very busy Summer that included learning how to swim and spending lots of play date with family and friends.

Sept 1 - Happy Labor Day.  I cannot believe Tanith's Summer break is coming to an end. This week she starts
Kindergarten and a new school. We sadly said goodbye to Santa Clara Day Nursery.  We are so thankful Tanith spent the last two years in their Preschool program, which played a huge part of her development. The Sisters were so caring and passed on many good values to Tanith.

Sept 2 - Some final Summer fun for daddy and Tanith at Disney...school starts on Sept 4!

Sept 4 - Tanith's First Day of Kindergarten! She said she was nervous, but she turned out to be just fine. Had an opportunity to drop her off, meet her teacher and watch her head into her new school/classroom.  Her buddy Megan is in the other kinder class, but at least they can see each other during lunch.  Her teachers name is Mrs. Richards and is in room K-1.  I will update more at the end of the day about how the first day went...probably the same response I received everyday at Santa Clara "Good", what did you do? "I don't remember".  We will see what type of response we get today. This is a big change for her...new everything, lunch lines for the cafeteria and homework!

First day was a success. Tanith gave me a thumps up. I got some information about what she did throughout the day, like playing and games. She experienced cafeteria lunch and said she got a small white try with four items. She did not like the salad...go figure :)

So after a few days at Sequoia, we found out that Tanith got into Schroeder, which was the school we originally wanted her in. So over a lot of conversation, we decided to move her out of Sequoia.  It was a great school, but Schroeder had a better program and logistically was better. We talked to Tanith and let her know that she would be moving schools and why we were doing it and she responded "you know what's best for me".  She is so amazing and way beyond her age in maturity.  So here are some pictures from the new school!
