Happy New Year!
How big am I now?
Height: 44.25 inches
Weight: 43 lbs.

Another year passes and a new one full of adventure and growing up is upon us.  I hope this year continues to bring health and happiness for us and our families.

Interesting Stuff:
  • The other day while cleaning up the garage, Tanith helped out by stacking up the paint cans. She started to stack them, then stopped, unstacked them and started to rearrange the stack. When we asked her what she was doing, she said, she needed to weigh the cans and place the heaviest cans on the bottom, the next heaviest in the middle and the lightest cans on top.  Her dad and I experienced a loss of words. We then asked why she needed to do it that way and she replied, so they don't fall over.  So smart, but yet struggles with her sight words :)
  • Had her first "grounding"...the punishment was no dress up for a week.  Tanith did not listen and talked back to her daddy when coming home from Disney.  It was bad enough to deserve a lecture and taking away something she loves.  She is such a good girl, but she also needs to realize mommy and daddy will not let her do whatever she wants, that she needs to listen and not argue our decisions.  I am sure we will need to have this conversation with her again, but better she learns this now before she is a teen.

Jan 24 and 80 degrees outside.  Taking advantage of this beautiful hot "Summer" like day. Playing with cousins and walking to get ice cream cones equals a wonderful day.
