May Update

Today Tanith is 2 years and 10 months old.

Height:  37  inches tall
Weight: 31.2   lbs.

What's new:
She is now practicing using scissors, but one is not enough...she needs two scissors. She likes to chat on the phone and the other day the phone was ringing and she yelled "I got it", picked up the phone and said "hello" and proceeded to talk.
She has been doing a new thing where she pretends to be putting on her seat belt and then counts 1-2-3 followed by "blast off".  It is her own little game but sometimes she pulls mommy into it as well and has me pretend to fasten my seat belt too.

She is very creative. I love when she take a purse or bag and wears them as a backpack. Makes sense, she needs her hands free, but also needs to transport her toys.

We now let her sleep with us one night a week and she loves it. However she does want more than the one day, but we are sticking to it, kind of. One night while I was out of town, around 2am Rafa heard her sneaking into our room with everything and anything she could hold onto (blankets, dolls, etc.) she was being very good and not making a noise so daddy would not hear her (he is trying not to crack up), she proceeds to put all her stuff into the bed, crawls in and then...daddy says "what are you doing"...busted. He sent her back to her room.  Good try though...of course "softy" went in and got her anyways :).

We went down to San Diego to visit with the Rodgers at the Wave House at Pacific Beach and the Catamaran Hotel for Rick's birthday and had a wonderful day. We found out Tanith really loves playing in the sand. She was having so much fun playing in the sand she did not even want to stop and eat her lunch. Looks like daddy needs to build her a sand box now.  Tanith loves hanging out with Emily and Matt and always has such a fantastic time.
It was also Mother's Day this month and we had a wonderful day with the family. Rafa did a great job barbecuing steak, chicken and lobster tails (special for my mom).

Disneyland and more.  We finally decided to purchase Disneyland Passes and within one week Tanith has been four times.  It is so much fun to see the excitement in her eyes and the true joy she has each time.  During one of our trips we also had an opportunity to meet some more "little sisters" that were from the same orphanage and/or were apart of our original travel group 121. It was so much fun seeing all the girls running around and playing.
