Thanksgiving

So many things to be thankful for, but our family is number one. We are so fortunate to be surrounded by a family that loves unconditionally and is always supportive.

We had a nice evening and mom/grandma did a wonderful job as she always does making sure everyone had plenty of good food to eat. We missed a few family members this year because some had to work, spent the holiday with others, and of course live too far away.

Fresh Beat Band Concert

Wow 3yrs old and went to her first concert.

On Saturday, Nov 21 we drove down to San Diego to meet up with Michelle, Dave and Maddie for a late lunch before heading off to the Civic Theater to see the Fresh Beat Band in concert.

Michelle got the girls matching shirts with their names on it and then also surprised them with pom poms.  So special!

We had a great time...not sure if the mom's had more fun, scary that we knew all the songs, but the girls were dancing throughout and it was a great experience. Tanith had the most fun sitting on daddy's lap during the show as he danced with her and really made it a special time.  Of course the girls had to have a show program since they saw other girls with them, and so the daddy's stood in line for them.  Daddy also bought a special glow light for Tanith which she loved.  It was a wonderful evening out and we always have a great time with the Sanders family.

The biggest challenge of the night was getting the girls to sit still for a picture, but I did manage to get a few.

What will the next concert be? hummmm!

Monthly Update

November Update

This month Tanith is:
Height: 38 inches
Weight: 31.6 lbs

We are thankful for so much and this is the month we spend time reflecting. I will be adding what's new in the world of Tanith throughout the month so keep checking back.

On Nov 1, Tanith participated in her first school activity called the, All Saints Day Parade. I had to work, but daddy, grandma and grandpa were all present. As they reported back and you will be able to see in some of the photos, at first she was not happy about getting dressed up, the parade, really any of it, but as daddy does best, he turned that frown up side down and the rest of the day was filled with fun and laughter.  After they walked around the playground a few times, the kids and guests enjoyed some pizza, snacks and then later that evening we had a wonderful family dinner.

Tanith took this picture of us.  She insisted we move together :)

November 3rd was Peter's 2nd Birthday Party (the son of one of daddy's co-workers) and Tanith did not want to miss out because he was having a Petting Zoo. So even with all of us not feeling well we went to the party. Tanith did go into the Petting Zoo and rode the pony one time, but after that she fell asleep in my arms...you know she is really sick when she passes up more rides on a pony.

November 7 was our appointment at the court house to Re-Adopt Tanith. What re-adopt means, is that we will now have a US Birth Certificate for her to use.  Many families do this last extra step to ensure they have another form of birth certification. If anything happened to her original China Birth Certificate it would be very difficult to get it replaced, so many families decide to re-adopt and get a US Birth Certificate.  The actual certificate will take awhile to be sent to us, but its official today.

November 8  Tanith's fun thing to do lately is play school.  She plays the role of the teacher and sings to us and the dogs. She is also in charge of nap time.  I did not realize what she as doing and then when I looked over she had placed a blanket on each of the dogs for their naps.

When she is not playing teacher, she still enjoys watching the TV. Her favorite new show is Team Umizoomi and of course she still loves watching Everybody Loves Raymond with mommy and daddy as seen in the video below.

November  9 was Tanith's special picture day at school with Santa. Parents were not able to stay as it would be to disruptive to the school day, but I did hang out and enjoyed watching her interact with her friends.  Her two best pals are Sophia and Meghan.  There were other girls that she also played with and a boy named Antonio introduced himself to me (he is in the last photo with the blue sweeter)...got to keep my eye on him :)

November  17
Had a good day. Went to see Emily play soccer and then to a friends house to watch a fight in the evening.  In between we went to In-and-Out for hamburgers and I asked Tanith what she would like to drink, she said "Root beer" and as I was about to order her drink, she said, "No mommy, lower the window down".  She wanted to order her drink herself and did...she continues to amaze us!

Lately she is letting us know that she is ready for Winter, she keeps wanting me to make Winter happen so she can build a snowman. I told her she needs to wait a little bit longer.
