May Update

What's New...you seem to be getting taller and too big to carry for a long period of time. My little girl is really growing up and almost six years old.

No better way to start off the month...ice cream with daddy after school!

This month Tanith took a stand on the environment and has been very concerned with the oceans and people littering. She decided what we need to do is talk to people and to put signs up on the beach to remind people not to litter and pick up trash when they see it. In addition, she announced that our family will no longer eat fish. Why! well because the ocean is running out of fish and we need to protect the fish before they are all gone.  Got to love school and learning.

Try asking her about the Egypt...she is so funny. She knows about the pyramids and mummy's...she is afraid of the mummy's :)

Quick trip to Disney and got to meet up with the cousins.  Standing in line for Nemo ride.

Early Mother's Day gifts keep coming...I have my beautiful painting and now I can add to that a coffee mug that when hot water is added, a picture of me and Tanith appears. In addition, I received a surprise bouquet of flowers.

Had an amazing day at the beach (at Long Beach Peninsula)...even though it was very overcast and cold. It was a celebration for Olethea's Birthday. Tanith enjoyed playing with friends, building sand castles, and paddle boarding.

More random photos

5/15: Tanith had a field trip to Cabrillo Beach with the Kindergarten class and daddy was one of the parent helpers...unfortunately he was not allowed to take any photos...but wanted to post her fun adventure.

5/16: Went to the local theater to see Alice in Wonderland. The show was done really well and performed entirely by children.  After the show, Tanith said she wants to be on stage performing.

5/19: Finally Tanith mastered tying laces on shoes. I demonstrated how to do it a few times, but what really worked for her was reading the instructions and following the steps. I have come to realize that she loves figuring things out and looking at instructions to put things together...maybe we have a future engineer in our family.

5/23: Nails, Hair, and Cousin Fun Day

Finally made it to Disney to see the decorations for its 60th Birthday.

Wrapping up the weekend with a game of Monopoly. Tanith was the banker and I went bankrupt.
