April Update

Growing, growing and growing.

How big are you now?
Height -
Weight -  44.8

Thing to remember:
  • The other day, as we were getting rid of all her shower bath toys (taking big girl showers now) and cleaning up her stroller to sell, I will not lie, I got a little sad that those times are over. Tanith, then informs me that there will be a baby again...I was not sure what she meant by that comment, but she clarified it for me and told me when she has a baby. She then let me know that, first she needs to find a husband and then get married, and then she will have a baby.  She said it specifically in that order...at least she got the preferred order right :)
  • For the past few mornings, Tanith has been in tears (yes, she was tired, but was truly upset) because of her hair...yes her hair! She told me, she did not like how it looked. We are in big trouble if this is starting at 5 years old.
  • Tanith was singing a song in the shower about "sisters", then she asked me, what her sisters name is...obviously I had no idea where she was going with this, so I said, "I do not know"...she said, "Zero".  Why Zero I asked, she said because she doesn't have a sister...made me a little sad, but it was pretty funny.
  • Tanith told on herself, by letting me know that when I am not looking, she takes my makeup and puts it on. Love her honesty (mommy knew)
  • Oh my, growing up way too fast. I was just informed that "only babies watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse"
Tanith our darling little girl, you never stop amazing us and dare I say shocking us with your wit and humor. Love you from the moon and back!

4/2: Indian Princess adventures are plentiful. Did a science project and made some green "thing" that bounces and can be molded into many different shapes and in a couple of weeks a campout.

4/3: Easter break is upon us and I am sure there will be a lot of Tanith and daddy fun to be had (while mommy works).

Relaxing and playing on mommy's phone!

Oh my...someone has a tooth coming in...but hasn't lost a tooth yet...coming out soon!!!

4/5: Happy Easter - Another wonderful Easter Brunch at the Sanders house. The girls had  so much fun and played very well with each other. We continue to see the growth and development in each of them and cherish these special times.

A little playtime before the Easter Egg Hung and visit from the Easter Bunny

Waiting patiently and then attack....love the reaction from them sitting waiting to seeing the Easter Bunny.

Tanith scored a lot of eggs, which we went through when we got home.

All the girls with the Easter Bunny...

...and the best Easter Bunny ever (aka daddy)

Daddy and Tanith walking home, found a neighborhood restaurant...thumbs up!

Mommy had an office mate at work. Tanith organized my desk drawers and went on a walk...but no dogs in the office today :(

Easter break shenanigans continue....daddy and Tanith at Universal Studios

Indian Princesses Campout - Fiesta Island Mission Bay, San Diego

Way to go Tanith...2nd place in the golf tournament!

Morning of the last day...this little camper is sleeping in!

4/16: Dropping off Tanith at school, the sun was hitting her face just right.

4/17: Your first dentist appointment was today and you did amazing. You had x-ray's done and a cleaning. To my surprise you have a wiggly tooth (which we want) and not one, but two new teeth coming in. Most importantly you had no cavities and the doctor said everything looked good.  After the appointment you got a nice little package with goodies and you were able to pick a special toy out of the toy chest (just like I did when I was little).

Arts and Crafts with the cousins. All the girls have wiggly teeth, so they are making Tooth Fairy Doors, so that she can find them.

Day at Disney!

April 22: Tanith lost her first tooth!  It happened at school and she said she was wiggling it (probably showing her friends) and then it just came out. She did cry, not because it hurt (said it did not hurt at all), but because she had a little bit of blood.  Wiggler number 2 is not far behind. So luckily we painted her Tooth Fairy Door last weekend, just in time. The Tooth Fairy was very generous for her losing Tooth #1 and left Tanith $10.00.  She wants to go to Target and buy something fun. She said maybe a new purse!

April 24 was the Schroeder Elementary Campout (at school). Daddy set up the tent for us, but it was a mommy and daughter campout. We played, ate, watch Big Hero 6 on the blacktop and woke up to a nice breakfast. We packed up and daddy came back to take care of the tent. We had a lot of fun.

April 25 - Tanith the Dentist Helper...yes the photos are correct, Tanith helped the hygienist clean my teach.

4/26: An amazing day at Imaginology. Animals, arts and crafts, science, music and much more. There was so much to do and engage the kids.  Tanith's favorite part was meeting Cousin Thomas's goats...of course she wants one now.

Pre-Mother's Day Gift - made by Tanith.  I loved it so much it is now hanging up on the wall in our house!
