June Update

Growth Check-in
Height- 43inches
Weight-39 pounds

  • Tanith amazed her grandma/pa when mommy was away on business and daddy had to work late.  They had to come to our house to take care of the dogs, but it was Tanith that was in control.  She knew what to do, how to handle the dogs, feed them, pick up after them and even swept the patio (show off...never does that for us).
  • This month was a milestone.  Tanith has improved so much from her last report card (mid-school year).  Her final report card was all Very Good marks and she officially graduated from Preschool and is ready for Kindergarten.
  • Tanith loves her grandma and grandpa so much and always is excited to see them.  Grandma makes yummy strawberry smoothies and grandpa is always a willing participant in a hide-n-go-seek game, with his famous "fe fi fo fum" as he searches. Memories to cherish for a lifetime...as I remember 'fe fi fo fum" from when I was little :)
  • I love how you pay attention to everything and this month you graduated not only from preschool, but from just being a passenger in the car to an official back seat driver.  You like to inform me that we are going a different way home or that is not the way to school...yes, I know, mommy may take different routes every so often :)  Thank you baby!
  • Future Detective maybe.  So daddy could not find his car keys and really needed to go to court.  Tanith stepped up and started asking questions like, when do you remember last seeing them? Basically she took daddy through his steps of what he did when he got home to try and find the key.  Eventually ended up in the bedroom, where she got a flashlight to look under the bed...and she said "ah ha", daddy said, "did you find it", she said, "no but I found a feather"...what does a feather have to do with finding my key, daddy said...Tanith replied, "maybe a bird took the key".

June 1 -  Started off the month cleaning house (I swear she loves to help me) and playing in the backyard. A mellow day, but good quality time spent. Tanith was on a mission to plant a "tree".

Tanith and our wedding.  Watching the video at grandma/pa's house.

Disney Adventure with the cousins.

Tanith and I got soaked...but Tanith was the worst. Stayed soaking wet until we got home.  She loved it.  Not the drop, but getting wet.

Sleeping Beauty and Cruising with mommy.  Tanith's exact words "grooving and cruising" not sure where that came from :)

June 13 - We had an early Birthday party at Tanith's school.  She was so happy and excited for the day.  She is now telling everyone she is 5 years old.  I tried to explain that she is not 5 yet.  Oh well... Love!!!

June 13 - The final day of Preschool followed her wonderful Birthday party.  What a great day!  It will be sad not attending here next year for Kindergarten (well maybe, depends on if we get into the other school).
The Sisters are so caring and Tanith really loves them.  I am so glad we ended up here for the last two years and I appreciate everything they do for the kids.

June 14 - We celebrated an early Father's Day with grandpa. As usual it was a nice visit, with swimming, playing and of course eating.

June 15 - Father's Day.   Tanith made a few things for daddy at school for his gift and then we spent the afternoon at Disney.

You made a wish in the well...You told us you wished for mommy and daddy to let you sleep in our bed tonight...wishes do come true :)

All decked out in a USA dress to cheer on the team during their first game of the World Cup.   Daddy knows how to have team spirit.  Ghana 1 : 2 USA

Matt's 8th Grade Graduation - June 20

Movie in the Park-  Frozen sing-along

June 21 - Daddy-Daughter Love.  Tanith loves giving a "thumbs up" for things.  Guess it was a good breakfast and time spent with daddy.

June 29 - Happy Anniversary Brunch for Grandma and Grandpa

Time for a little futbol...go Costa Rica!

June 30 - First Piano Recital - I think she was excited, since she has been dressed for the recital since 7am and it did not start until 7 pm.  Tanith looked so pretty in her dress and went on stage and did not let us down.  As soon as she saw grandma and grandpa, she waived and said hi to them.....the only ked who did that all night.  Only on stage for a short time to play the song that we have had to hear over and over again for a few months now, but she rocked the Mickey Mouse Club March song with her classmates.  It did not phase her one bit that there were over 300 people in the audience. Very proud parents tonight and always with you.
