Nov and Dec 2020

Sadly we are still living through a pandemic and having to pivot away from our traditions. Instead celebrating the holidays with our immediate family “our bubble”.

We did hit one milestone during this year, our baby girl got her first period...I know strange to post it but our little girl is really growing up...too fast for me, but embracing the change. Of course, Tanith is taking it with ease. I am so happy we built a strong relationship or being open about everything. So nothing is taboo.

Also had her yearly physical in November and she measured in at 4’11, technically the doctor said she can say she is 5ft. Other than that she is healthy...that’s all that matters to me.

Here are  a few pics from November, including Thanksgiving.

That’s a wrap for 2020....last few pics of Dec.

September & October 2020

We are now into September and still fighting COVID. We have been living in our new "normal" now for over six months. It has been six months since our last play date with friends, six months since we sat and had dinner in a restaurant and six months since we hugged grandma/grandpa and the rest of the family. We have been lucky enough to see each other, but keeping distance. My job and Rafa's was not effected like so many other people who lost jobs. Blessings all around for that! School is in full force virtually and Tanith is adjusting fine. I have been great, as I prefer to work from home, but it is definitely harder on the young ones. This will be a year she never forgets and hope we can get back to a more normal existence soon.

I need to be better about posting pictures. Tried to do it from my phone, well as you could see from last months post, most of the pictures came in sideways. I left them, because honestly we are all feeling a little turned around and the pictures represent that feeling.

We will be celebrating grandma turning 80 this month, virtually of course. But thankfully we have technology and her friends and family can still help us sing Happy Birthday from the safety of their homes. I think back to when I was Tanith's age and if this happened back then. WOW, it would have been dreadful. There was NO internet, smart phones or really any way to communicate with each other besides face-to-face or phone. It would have be a lot harder for sure. So thankful for that she can stay home and be safe, but still get an education. So in this chaotic world, there are still blessings. I am always looking for the positive outcomes even when it doesn't feel like there is any hope insight. I hope to pass on this positivity to Tanith, at least a little bit. Tanith is not the most positive thinking child. Baby girl, you will go far and do amazing things with a positive attitude. Find the silver lining in everything you do.

Halloween may not happen this year, but that is not going to stop us from having some traditional fun!
